Butcher’s Hook
“Three graduates sought to introduce their new studio to locals via a neat bit of window dressing, providing passers-by with unique prints – and a business card
Butcher’s Hook is a three-member design studio and gallery based in an old butcher’s shop in London’s Portobello. The studio has been formed by Benio Urbanowicz, James Coltman, Josh Blanchett and Dan Jones, students from Kingston and LLC, all of whom graduate this summer.
In order to introduce themselves to the local populace, Butcher’s Hook set up a digital display using an old Nintendo Wii remote, custom made Infa-Red yellow pencils, a wireless doorbell, a printer and a few extra ingredients.”
This is fantastic!

Barbara Kruger - I Shop, Therefore I Am (Derived from the famous Cogito Ergo Sum: “I Think, Therefore I Am”)
“It is surely ironic that where once we would try to secure our belief systems on foundations gained by the profound activity of philosophizing, we now rely on the trivial and banal-seeming activity of shopping to tell us who and what we are.
We Can scarcely imagine a world without the messages of advertising. But take a moment to think how we would view the world if all advertising suddenly disappeared.”

I recommend this book to any designers; it’s a fantastic read!

Sony Bravia ‘Color Like No Other’ advert from 2009.
This is possibly one of my favourite adverts ever. And I’ve probably blogged about it before, but I kept seeing photos of it come up on my dash, so I thought I’d post the full video haha :)
It was filmed in San Francisco where around 250,000 coloured bouncy balls were dropped from the top of a slope in a suburb area over a period of 2 days.
It’s a crazy, yet beautiful idea. But, can you imagine the clean up?
